The Mandalorian is the most successful spin-off in the Star Wars universe.

It generally serves as a junction point for all thing Jedi, Sith, and everything in between, and audiences love it.

For Mandalorian fans with some extra money, though, the show could be even more special.

Because Din Djarin’s helmet has just gone up for sale – and it’s the same price of a new Honda Civic.

Hang on, hang on – what is The Mandalorian?

Okay, we might be getting ahead of ourselves a little bit, so allow us to explain.

If you’re familiar with Star Wars, then you’re probably somewhat aware of the universe and storyline.

The Mandalorian series takes place around five years after the events of Return of the Jedi.

In that film, the Rebel Alliance destroys the second Death Star that has been constructed by Emperor Palpatine.

Five years after the Galactic Empire falls, Din Djarin, a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter played by Pedro Pascal, is at work.

He’s hired by the remnants of the Empire to find and capture Grogu, a child of the same species of Master Yoda.

But, instead of handing him over to the Empire, Din Djarin and the child go on the run to try and find Grogu’s species.

Ultimately, it’s a story of redemption, as Din Djarin hopes to return to his home planet of Mandalore to redeem himself for having once removed his helmet. Which is a big no-no.

The end of season two saw one of the greatest scenes in Star Wars history, because…well, we’ll just show you:

Bounty hunter helmet goes on sale – and it costs a lot

A big part of the Mandalorian and his mythology is his outfit.

Specifically, Din Djarin wears armor made from Beskar steel – found only on the planet of Mandalore.

The armor is so strong that it is impervious to blaster fire, or even a direct lightsaber attack.

And of course, the most iconic part of it all is the Mandalorian’s bounty hunter helmet.

From Season 2 onwards, the helmet becomes slightly less significant.

However, the helmet being sold is that of one from the first Season – the most important one.

The helmet that’s up for sale is described as ‘original’ from the franchise itself, and is made from fiberglass resin and smoked Perspex.

There’s even clear evidence of intensive wear for a short period of time, which matches the series.

At the time of writing, there were just over two weeks left to go on the helmet auction.

And with a starting price of $20,000, it’s surely set to be snapped up by some lucky fan.

Make sure to check out the listing – this is, indeed, the way.
