This Pennsylvania man bought a pallet of tech returns worth $328,000, hoping it would be a jackpot for resales – but things didn’t quite pan out that way.
YouTuber John Malecki Unscrewed bought a pallet, hoping to find stuff that worked.
It was also hoped that the estimated value would approach the claimed amount.
But things didn’t go to plan.

Were there any gems in this pallet of tech returns? Or were they all duds?
The first box on the pallet contained Wi-Fi access points that would usually sell for low prices on eBay, so it was a disappointing start.
Moving on, there was a pile of headphones – mostly fake – alongside Apple Pencil knockoffs, and TI-84 calculators.
In another box, there was camera gear and barcode scanners that had some resale value.

However, it was still shaping up to be below the claimed $328,000 figure.
In a box of Google Home and Echo devices, he found that they needed work and were missing chargers.
So far, so lousy.
Fortunately, things picked up a bit on the next box, which had 34 brand-new 5G routers inside.
He estimated that this would have pulled in somewhere between $10,000 and $11,000.
But disappointment came rolling in, with mountains of broken or unpowered Echo Dots and other outdated pieces of tech.

What did the final total come to?
The final boxes contained items like old DVD players and barcode scanners, among other gadgets.
So, with all that in mind, what was the realized value?
It came to around $23,278.

Now, you don’t need to be a mathematician to know that’s way short of the promised $328,000.
Disappointment doesn’t even cover it.
Pallets of untested tech can deliver some mixed results when it comes to turning a profit – as this Georgia man found with a pallet of Apple returns.
