The snazzy and modern Polestar 5 EV has received the James Bond treatment with Alexander Skarsgård highlighting the car’s digital mirror magic.

The EV has some fabulous and futuristic party tricks, and what better way to show off the secret-agent vibes than spoofing a secret agent known for his classy cars with their built-in gadgets?

While Alexander Skarsgård, the Swedish actor, seems to be pretending to be a James Bond-style secret agent, he drags an unwilling Q along for the ride while they both walk through the new car.

Skarsgård was joking about invisibility cloaks and flamethrowers, and while those aren’t in the options list (yet), the real headline feature is the HD rear-view camera system, which looks straight out of Q’s lab.

The Polestar 5 EV gets the James Bond treatment

The Polestar 5 just got the full James Bond treatment, and who better to put it in the spotlight than Hollywood actor Alexander Skarsgård?

In a playful walkaround, the Swedish actor dives into the brand’s new flagship EV, a car that fuses cutting-edge performance with some truly futuristic party tricks.

While he can’t play the spy role overtly due to copyright laws, Skarsgård’s ‘James Bond’ plays into the secret-agent vibes right from the start, bringing up the EV turning invisible or throwing flames.

While flames and invisibility aren’t options yet, the Polestar 5 is not lacking some special features and spy-style secret gadgets.

He gets the man he’s unwillingly made his Q to get him to tell him about all the different things the new Polestar 5 can do.

Introducing the car’s digital mirror magic

Under the hood (and floor), the Polestar 5 Performance delivers 650 kilowatts of power and can zoom from 0–100 kilometers per hour in just 3.2 seconds, perfect for chasing the bad guys and evil geniuses.

Built on Polestar’s bonded aluminium architecture, it’s engineered for razor-sharp handling and world-class braking.

Inside, the cabin looks like it’s been lifted directly from a spy film, with a 14.5-inch portrait centre display sitting alongside a 9-inch driver’s screen, making navigation and apps just a tap away.

Add a 21-speaker Bowers & Wilkins 3D sound system, and suddenly you’re not just driving, you’re blasting a soundtrack for a speedy getaway.

‘James Bond’ jokes that the capacious trunk can also pack a jetpack, and a spare as well.

But the real headline is the car’s digital mirror magic camera system, which is Polestar’s answer to ditching the traditional rear window, and the result is a clearer, wider digital mirror that feels straight out of Q’s lab.

The name’s (not) Bond, (not) James Bond.
