The 718 Cayman reaches its conclusion with a Porsche GT4 RS developed in partnership with Manthey Racing, built as a one-off called ‘The Tulip.’

Commissioned by Porsche Netherlands, the car will arrive shortly before production of the 718 Cayman ends in October.

It carries a Pastel Orange finish with Dutch-inspired details and track-focused changes.

The Tulip gives the final version of the mid-engine sports car a distinct identity, and its design and performance updates set it apart from the rest of the lineup.

718 Cayman GT4 RS is a farewell

The Tulip is based on the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS.

Its Pastel Orange paint extends across hood intakes, aero discs, and brand lettering on the rear wing.

Tulip logos appear on the fenders, and a Dutch flag pinstripe runs across the spoiler.

Satin black magnesium wheels with carbon aero discs add to the motorsport theme.

Inside, the 718 Cayman shows more references to the national theme.

Tulip motifs are embroidered on the headrests and illuminated on the sill plates.

Black leather and Race-Tex dominate the cabin, with orange stitching and fabric straps providing contrast.

The project also includes a chronograph, a color-matched key, and a tulip-marked thermos.

Under the surface, the Porsche GT4 RS hardware is unchanged in principle.

A 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six produces 495hp.

The car is equipped with the Weissach Package and Manthey Racing Kit, which add carbon fiber aero parts and a gurney flap for the rear wing.

These updates helped achieve a Nürburgring lap time of 7:03.121, more than six seconds quicker than the standard GT4 RS.

Manthey Racing delivers the final word

The Tulip arrives as production of the 718 Cayman comes to a close.

The final examples of the fourth-generation model will leave the factory in October, marking the end of Porsche’s current mid-engine sports car line.

The Tulip will be displayed during the Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort, giving it a public debut in front of a home crowd.

Manthey Racing’s role ensured that the project went beyond appearance.

Its changes provide performance gains that can be measured alongside the visual details.

As the 718 Cayman ends its run, The Tulip combines national design elements, Porsche GT4 RS engineering, and Manthey Racing upgrades.

Only one has been built, but it represents the conclusion of the Cayman series in a way that is precise, factual, and easy to place within the car’s history.
