When this content creator visited a 100-year-old’s garage, he found a stunning Porsche sitting underneath the sheets.

Fortunately, this 1962 Porsche 356 was in impeccable condition.

Dodi Auto Sales got an up-close look at the car and got to hear more about its backstory.

It’s clear that this car was well-loved by its owner – but now it was time for a new chapter.

This Porsche was a very special car for this 100-year-old man

When the sheet came off this 1962 Porsche 356, a beautiful car was revealed underneath.

Its owner, Tex Hartman, had purchased it when he received a $7,000 bonus decades ago.

Although it hadn’t been driven since the 1990s, this car had held up wonderfully.

Hartman’s daughter had fond memories from her childhood of being driven in the car as they went down to the Texan town of Sweetwater to visit family.

“Because I’m the youngest, I got a ride in the very skinny back seat,” she laughed.

When she was a student at the University of Oklahoma, Hartman would drive down and take her and her roommates out to eat in the car.

So there were a lot of fond memories attached to the Porsche.

But alas, all good things must come to an end.

Although Hartman was in pretty good shape for a 100-year-old, he wasn’t able to enjoy the car as it should be enjoyed.

And that’s why Dodi was taking it off his hands.

Hartman and his daughter expressed the hope that Dodi would enjoy the car as much as he did, and requested he send them videos of the car in action.

Cars sitting in garages often don’t hold up so well

Oftentimes, when we hear stories about cars that have been holed up in a garage for decades, the ending isn’t so happy.

There’s this iconic 1980s car that sat abandoned for 15 years.

Or how about this seriously gross Ford GT that its cleaners had to don hazmat suits to enter?

And sometimes these cars in garages aren’t even complete – remember the half of a Ferrari Mondial that had been found?
