If you’re a sucker for the retro styling of a classic car, then you’ll be pleased to know that Porsche has reissued some of its most iconic seat fabrics.
Over the years, Porsche has had some seriously smart-looking fabrics available for its motors.
Sadly, over the years, many of these seat fabrics have fallen by the wayside.
However, now the carmaker is reintroducing some of its historic fabrics, including Pasha, tartan, and Pepita.

Porsche is bringing back some of its more iconic seat fabrics
Restoring a vintage vehicle, particularly one as iconic as the Porsche 356 or the 928, is a real labor of love.
And if you’re planning on carrying out a complete restoration, then you’ll want to make sure the interior is looking as good as the exterior.

In the past, folks hoping to revive one of the older Porsche models would have to settle for a lookalike fabric for its interiors, but not anymore.
The German carmaker has announced it is bringing back several of its older interior fabric options, including the checkered Pepita print of the 1960s and the mind-bending and ever-so-groovy Pasha of the 1970s.
It will also be reviving two different tartans: the red and blue McLaughlan, and the green and blue Black Watch, a velour pinstripe fabric, and one featuring Porsche lettering.
The marque explained that it is relaunching the fabrics so that customers wanting to restore an older Porsche won’t be stuck with a poor imitation.
“By reissuing these fabrics, we are closing a gap, because most customers want to restore their historic or more recent classic cars to their original condition as closely as possible,” Porsche Classic Director Ulrike Lutz said.
“It was particularly important to us in this project that we maintain our quality promise with the fabrics.

“Unfortunately, there are many imitations on the market that are either not at all suitable as seat fabric or lose their appearance after a short time.
“That’s why we want to offer our customers a tested original alternative again.”
As well as being offered for older models, the fabrics can also be used in newer cars.
Create your dream car with the Sonderwunsch program
Like many high-end marques, Porsche allows an incredible level of customization and personalization for its customers through its Sonderwunsch program.
The program effectively puts the customer in the driving seat when it comes to creating their dream car.
This includes choosing interior fabrics and trim, as well as a near-limitless range of custom exterior paint colors.
Every Porsche model is customizable with the Sonderwunsch (German for ‘special request’) program, but the carmaker says it is the 911 that is by far the most frequently customized.
