Taking a look at the super expensive watch of Queen Elizabeth II

The Patek Philippe Ref. 4975/1G is an extraordinary-looking watch, noted for its pearl bracelet and diamond-set case and dial.

It is a masterful accessory, custom-made by the watchmaker just for Her Majesty.

This Patek Philippe struck the perfect balance between making a statement, whilst not drawing too much attention – the jewels on her head were the real draw after all.

The watch got its big reveal in 2006, when the late monarch wore it whilst attending the state opening of Parliament.

It was a perfect accessory to have worn for the occasion.

Nine years later, the watch was loaned to go on display at the Watch Art Patek Philippe Grand Exhibition in London at the Saatchi Gallery.

It went on display alongside other watches from monarchs, including Queen Victoria, Franz Joseph I, Emperor of Austria, and Oscar II, King of Sweden.

Now obviously, the likelihood of this watch ever going on auction is astronomically low.

But we wager that it’d fetch an absolutely gargantuan price.

It’s custom-made, it’s got pearls and diamonds, and it’s linked to a legendary watchmaker.

Oh yeah, and it was worn by the Queen herself.

Her Majesty isn’t just a fan of wristwatches

Queen Elizabeth II may have passed away three years ago, but her memory lives on.

For some people, they recall their corgis, or her commitment to public service.

For others, her impressive car collection comes to mind.

Her personal Range Rover is particularly noteworthy, given that it fetched a huge six-figure sum when it went up for auction.
