People clearly still love a V8 pickup truck and how quickly the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee sold out is further proof of that.
Apparently, the new Ram truck is already sold out for 2026, and sold through the end of March 2027 as well.
And remember we aren’t talking about a rare supercar; in theory, this is a regular vehicle that’s not limited in terms of production.
And apart from the V8, there’s another reason why that’s the case.
Ram 1500 Rumble Bee proves V8 muscle trucks are back in a big way
This is further proof – not that we needed it – that the market for traditional, V8-powered performance vehicles – especially if it’s a pickup truck – is more than alive and well.
People buy these trucks with V6 powertrains – market numbers show this – but they also want V8s first and foremost.
The revived Ram 1500 Rumble Bee made an explosive entrance into the market, clearing its initial 2026 calendar-year allocation in less than two hours.

Over the next 20 hours or so – so basically within the first day – every single production slot through the end of March 2027 was completely spoken for, which is not a bad start.
The likely reason why this truck sold out immediately
There’s a very simple reason behind this truck’s immediate success, and it is its V-shaped, eight-cylinder powertrain.
A while back, Stellantis decided to gradually phase out the iconic HEMI eight-cylinder engine.
But the market wants what it wants, and clearly it wants eight cylinders, which explains why the Italian-American-French group did a complete 180 and brought back V8s with a vengeance.
Specifically, the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that puts out 375 horsepower.

And that’s just the start.
Apparently, there are three more powerful variants on their way.
In 2027, Stellantis will debut the Rumble Bee 392 – with or without the track pack – and also the supercharged SRT variant.
The price is right
Aside from the powertrain, the second reason why this truck sold out is the price.
The MSRP starts at ‘just’ $59,995, which is pretty good for a vehicle like this, especially in today’s market.

The upcoming 6.4-liter V8 pickup truck, the 392, will also be relatively attainable, with a starting price of $70,000 for the ‘regular’ model.
The 392 Track Pack will be a bit more expensive than that with an MSRP of $80,000.
As for the range-topping SRT model, with the 777-horsepower 6.2-liter HEMI V8, well, that’s not cheap: it starts at $94,995.
The 392 variants and the SRT model should be available in early 2027, and we can presumably expect those to sell out immediately as well.
