Check out this stunning 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V Diamond Jubilee Edition.

The beautiful motor was produced to mark the 75th anniversary of the Ford Motor Company.

Of course, a special occasion called for a special car, and that’s exactly what this particular Lincoln is.

Available in a strictly limited run, the Diamond Jubilee Edition is a real head-turner and is packed with cool details and intricate design.

The Lincoln was made to mark Ford’s 75th anniversary

When you think of all-American automobiles, few cars have as clear a pedigree as the Lincoln Continental

US icon Elvis Presley even gave the car his seal of approval in the 1950s, spending $10,000 – a huge sum at the time—to get his hands on one.

And when it comes to Lincoln Continentals you’d be hard pushed to find a finer example than this one showcased on the Fast Lane Classic Cars YouTube channel

Launched to mark Ford’s anniversary, the Lincoln Continental Mark V Diamond Jubilee Edition was only available in Diamond Blue and Jubilee Gold, with a Landau vinyl roof and body trim.

Meanwhile, simulated diamond chips were laminated into the car’s rear porthole opera windows with the words ‘Jubilee Edition’ engraved onto them.

Fancy, right?

It’s just as beautiful on the inside

And the high-end luxury vibes don’t end there. Inside, the Lincoln is a bit like being in private yet.

The seats are wrapped in plush Wedgewood Blue Luxury Cloth with Broadlace inserts, while there’s also plenty of dark wood trim scattered throughout and a Cartier watch fitted into the dashboard.

You’ll also find an assortment of buttons, dials, and gauges that are a million miles away from the sort of stripped-down interiors we see inside cars today.

The Lincoln also benefits from power windows, a power moonroof power seats, and a AC system – all of which still work.

Under the hood, it has its original 460-cubic-inch V8 engine paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.

The V8 can protrude 210 horsepower and 357lb-ft of torque.

Despite its age, the car’s in great shape – due partly to the fact it’s a one-family vehicle and that its been through a thorough restoration.

The car has done 118,793km (73,815 miles) but there’s clearly still plenty of life in the old Lincoln yet.
