A man who spent years looking for a very rare Jeep Fleetvan was stoked to find it lying around in an American junkyard.

In July 2025, footage emerged of a junkyard full of old cars, including Jeeps, so YouTuber Adventures Made From Scratch wanted to visit the yard and look for one particular vehicle.

Amazingly, he found the Jeep at this junkyard and was finally able to get his hands on it.

The yard was full of some amazing vehicles, and in the end, the YouTuber took three of them home with him!

What was the rare Jeep the YouTuber was looking for?

The video is long, but around 52 minutes in is when we get to see the vehicle that the YouTuber wanted.

This is a Kaiser-Jeep creation, the Fleetvan, also known as the FJ Series.

It’s a small van developed in the 1960s, and it was made for fleet operators.

Looking at it, it’s clear to say it was based on the iconic Dispatcher (DJ), with both used by the US Postal Service.

The FJ, however, was made for rural mail delivery, similar to the Studebaker Zip Van of 1963.

Jeep made the Fleetvan from 1961 to 1975, with it having a 2.2-liter 134ci Hurricane four-cylinder under the hood.

Other vehicles were residing in the American junkyard

The Jeep Fleetvan wasn’t the only car that the YouTuber had his eyes on.

There were several vehicles he saw that he liked, and having bought the Fleetvan, he couldn’t resist buying two more.

The FJ he bought for just $475, which is far below what its value is, even in scrapyard condition.

Other than the Jeep, the YouTuber took home a classic Buick from the 1950s and a 1950s Chevrolet.

Both of those cars are in rough condition, so they are going to need a lot of work.

Yet the reward for restoring them looks like it will be worth it.

But the Fleetvan is the real star of the show by far.

Not only is it an oddity in terms of looks, but it is one of the rarest Jeeps out there.

That is what makes it so cool.
