A routine oil change on a Bugatti Veyron can set you back up to $25,000, and most of the cost is driven by one aspect.
The Bugatti Veyron was launched in 2005 and is one of the fastest street-legal production cars in the world.
Production was kept to just 450 examples, making the car as rare as it is powerful.
The stunning Veyron came with a starting price tag of $1.9 million, with some special edition models selling for double that amount.

An oil change on a Bugatti Veyron doesn’t come cheap
With a price tag that puts the Bugatti Veyron firmly out of most people’s budget, it makes sense that those who do splash the cash want to ensure their supercar is in tip-top condition.
Part of that includes a yearly service and oil change for the car.

But it doesn’t come cheap, with an oil change on a Bugatti Veyron costing $25,000.
Yes, you did read that correctly – $25,000.
In a video a couple of years back, DRIVETRIBE explained why the oil change costs so much, and it’s mostly due to the cost of new filters.
In the clip, host Mike visited Simon Furlonger Cars, where a Bugatti Veyron was having an oil change and service.
Mike revealed that the filters cost thousands of dollars and had to be specially ordered from Bugatti.
Replacing a filter for the transmission can cost around $1,000, and you’re looking at three times that amount for the gearbox.
The service itself takes around 27 hours of manpower, all of which pumps up the cost of the final bill.
However, the team from Simon Furlonger Cars noted that the $25,000 figure was from the Bugatti dealership and said it could charge less.

The auto shop said it could perform a standard oil change for around $10,000 – still steep but a lot less than $25,000 you’d pay from Bugatti itself.
The maintenance costs don’t end there
Alongside annual services and oil changes, Bugatti recommends owners get the tires changed on their Veyron every two to three years.
It also suggests changing out the alloy wheels every 10,000 miles.
As you might suspect, this doesn’t come cheap, either.
You’ll be looking at an extra $30,000 for tires and $40,000 for wheels – all on top of your service.
Does anyone else suddenly feel OK about not having a Veyron in the garage?
