The internet is a wonderful place because every day you wake up and find something more bizarre and crazy than the day before.
The latest example is this mad robotic dog that’s doing some target practice with a semi-automatic weapon mounted on his back.
Nothing out of the ordinary, right?
You can watch the robo dog with semi-automatic here.

The craziest thing is that it’s actually a DIY project by a man called Alexander Atamov.
The robot in question is the Unitree Yusu, a four-legged automated machine built in China and available in the open market for $3,000.
As for the weapon, it’s a PP-19 Vityaz submachine gun made by Kalashnikov, the same manufacturer that produces the AK-47.
Just like other similar builds, this weird robo-dog-gun appears to have been designed to look like Metalhead, the robotic dogs that run society in the TV series Black Mirror.
Those robotic dogs were actually influenced by the design of various robots designed by Boston Dynamics, an American engineering and robotics design company.
Black Mirror’s Metalhead was designed for cinematic purposes and this crazy robo-dog was designed for fun.
But similar robots have been adapted for military use in the past.
For example last year, SWORD International teamed up with Ghost Robotics to create two types of robo-dogs to be used as ‘Special Purpose Unnamed Rifles’ (SPUR) as well as ‘Quadrupedal Unmmaned Ground Vehicles (QUGVs).
Pretty neat, right?
And you know what else would be really net?
