This salvage yard in Arizona, USA, bizarrely tried to sell two-thirds of a C8 Chevrolet Corvette.
It appeared on eBay missing its front end.
If nothing else, it appears to be a spare-part bonanza for a lucky buyer.

The listing
While most cars will one day wind up at a breaker’s yard – this 020 model year C8 C8 Chevrolet Corvette seems to be there well before its time.
That’s considering that this Chevrolet Fleetline that sat in a barn for 54 years still fired up.
However – some way or another – the car ended up listed on the AZ Cycle Parts in Phoenix, Arizona.
The problem is that a significant chunk of it is missing.
Everything in front of the doors seems to have been cut pretty cleanly away.
While we can’t be sure what actually happened to it – it seens it was shunted from the front end.
A closer look reveals that it’s covered just 4,809 miles (7,739 km) – unlike the highest mileage truck in the world with 1,625,000 miles driven.
Check out these highest-mileage cars in thee world that have gone even further than you could have ever imagined.
It boasts the ‘Z51’ package, meaning it had better car cooling systems, tweaked suspension, nicer tires, and a decent-sized rear wing.
It remains to be seen whether any of these are still operational.
What’s for sale
With the above facts in mind, rather than sell it whole, the C8 Chevrolet Corvette is being pulled to bits and sold as individual components.
The largest single component is the shell, stripped of all exterior panels and interior parts and listed for $6,999.
The pushrod ‘LT2’ 492bhp V8 is listed for $19,999.99, which seems steep.
However, this LT2 is primed for a mid-engined application.
A full set of original 19-inch front/20-inch rear Z51 wheels, shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S hoops with plenty of tread, will set you back $2,799.99.
The rear subframe is listed for $2,999.99.
A full set of Brembo four-piston brakes is going for $2,699.99 for the calipers and $599.99 for the discs.
The Z51 Sport Exhaust system, meanwhile is listed for $1,199.99.
Even the front bumper badge scan be yours for $59.99, and the owner’s manual for $79.99.
So, maybe if you’ve got the time, this isn’t such a wild investment.
OK, it’s still pretty odd.
