Shaq takes fans inside his new $27 million private jet

NBA star Shaq has bought his first private jet.

He’s no stranger to private jets, but until now, they’ve always been rentals.

With his summer tour coming up, Shaq – aka DJ Diesel – has decided to up his travel game.

The former Miami Heat player hasn’t posted anything on his Instagram about the private jet, but a page named ‘Shaq News’ uploaded a reel.

In the video, Shaq visits a hangar to check out his latest acquisition.

The private jet has Shaq’s ‘Dunkman’ logo on it, so it’s clearly his own.

Unlike 14 years ago, when he was publicly called out by his ex-wife for uploading photos of a ‘fake jet’ to Twitter.

Back in 2009, Shaq and Shaunie were going through a messy divorce.

During this turbulent time, Shaq uploaded an image to Twitter of a private jet with Shaunie’s name on it and her face on the tail of the plane.

While many thought it was a make-up gift, it was in fact big Shaq toying around with Photoshop, as we learned when Shaunie publicly called him out in the now-deleted tweet.

It wasn’t entirely impossible to think Shaq might have actually bought her a plane, especially considering he’s worth a reported $400 million.

But this time it’s for real, Shaq has forked out $27 million for a Bombardier Challenger 650.

As previously mentioned, the white private jet features Shaq’s Dunkman logo on the tail plane as well as the wing tips.

It also has a lavish interior, with swathes of cream leather and wood paneling.

The private jet accommodates 12 people and can travel at a maximum cruise speed of 0.85 mach (1,049 km/h / 651 mph).

And with a range of 4,000 nautical miles (7,408 km / 4,603 miles), Shaq shouldn’t have any issue jetting between stops on his summer tour.
