Even though Shaq has long since retired from the NBA, he’s pretty much still a global household name.
The former NBA Champion and All-Star is one of the most famous basketball players of all time.
Aside from his abilities on the court, he is also known for his unique size and physique.
And it’s led to him having troubles in the auto department.

Shaq: The most dominant player of his generation
Even if you’re not an NBA fan, the name Shaquille O’Neal will likely be extremely familiar to you.
Having made his NBA debut in 1992 with the Orlando Magic, “Shaq” was dominant from the get-go.
Aside from winning the 1993 NBA Rookie of the Year, O’Neal was the first rookie to make an All-Star team since Michael Jordan in 1985.
In 1996, O’Neal made the move to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he would form one of the greatest duos in history with the late Kobe Bryant.

With the Lakers, coached by the legendary Phil Jackson, Shaquille and the team would enjoy unreal success.
In fact, from 2000-2002, the Lakers three-peated, winning three NBA Championships in a row.
Shaq won the Finals MVP all three years.
Following his time in Los Angeles, he moved to the Miami Heat in 2004.
The NBA legend would then pick up his fourth NBA Championship in 2006.
After a 19-year career, he retired from the NBA in 2011.
After 15 All-Star appearances, four rings, and three MVP trophies, he’s regarded as one of the most dominant players to ever step onto the court.

Thankfully, life after retirement has been extremely good to Shaq.
He remains one of America’s most beloved figures, serving as a pundit for TNT.
His partnerships with fellow NBA legend Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson make Inside the NBA one of America’s most beloved broadcasts.
The basketball icon is also known for his incredible charity and generosity, regularly helping the less fortunate.
When it comes to the car community, Shaq isn’t short of money.
However, because of his sheer size – he’s over 7ft tall – he’s scarily short of options. No pun intended.

On the latest episode of his podcast, The Big Podcast with Shaq, the NBA legend detailed his auto issues.
He explains that, in 2008, he paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to have his Lamborghini Gallardo stretched.
This means that he had to have his Lamborghini cut in half just so he could fit in it.
He then explains that he was driving one day and got “blown out” by a Hellcat Charger.
After deciding to take a look at the Hellcat range, he found that all he had to do was “move the seat back eight or nine inches” to fit in it.
That’s all he needed to hear.
At the time of writing, he owns nine Hellcats. Yes, you read that right – nine Hellcats.
Frankly, we’d probably own nine Hellcat cars if we could as well.
