Chevrolet Camaro: Muscle car king
When one thinks of classic American muscle cars, there are certain names that stand out.
The Ford Mustang. The Dodge Charger. The Pontiac GTO.
However, the Chevrolet Camaro is a muscle car that truly stands out amongst them all.

Originally released in September 1966, the Camaro was released with the Ford Mustang in it’s crosshairs.
The first-generation Camaro made massive waves within the muscle car market.
The base engine choice was a 230 cubic-inch, 3.8 liter, inline-six engine.
The most powerful option was a 396 cubic-inch, 6.5 liter V8 behemoth.
One man and his Camaro
As outlined at the beginning, the Chevrolet is the subject of a story that will restore your faith in humanity.
A story has been circulating from Texas, where a man names Earl Guynes was celebrating his 65th birthday.
His son Jared, with whom he has always shared a bond over cars, got him more than just a birthday cake to mark the occasion.
The car they bonded over more than any other was the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro.
They didn’t just bond over this particular, legendary car for any reason, either.
They bonded over this car because Earl used to own one, and he sold it in order to support his family in the 1980s.
Son pays tribute to his Dad
Earl, who works at an O’Reilly Auto Parts store in Mesquite, Texas, always dreamed about having another Camaro.
However, he never imagined that this dream could ever actually come true.
Jared tried looking for a blue, white-striped Camaro such as the one Earl owned.
Unfortunately, there were just none that existed on the market.
So Jared spent three painstaking years scouring the internet for the parts and pieces to put his Dad’s dream car together.
And – lo and behold – he went and completed it.
In the video, the beautiful moment that Jared hands over the keys can be witnessed.
“Thanks for the diapers, Dad!”, is what Jared says as his Dad lays eyes upon his new car.
We are absolutely delighted for Jared and Earl, and we hope that Earl enjoys driving his new car for many years to come.
