A couple of brothers told their dad they would scrap his old Dodge Ram truck, but instead, they secretly fixed it up and surprised him with it.
Brothers Simeon and Eleazar from the Goonzquad YouTube channel bought and rebuilt the truck a couple of years ago and gave it to their dad.
He loved that Dodge Ram so much that he drove it to the point that its transmission gave out.
After spending a year or so parked, the brothers decided to fix up the truck, but not before having a bit of fun first.

The brothers had to lie to work on the Dodge Ram truck in secret
Brothers Simeon and Eleazar have plenty of experience when it comes to fixing vehicles.
They’ve previously worked on this totaled $1.3 million McLaren Senna and brought this Corvette ZR1 back to life.

A few years back, they found this Dodge Ram truck that was in serious need of repair.
And, after fixing it up, gave it to their dad, who pretty much drove it to destruction.
With the Dodge Ram now parked permanently, the brothers decided to play a bit of a prank on their pops.
They told him that the truck was taking up too much space and that they’d decided to sell.
After being given the news that his beloved Dodge has gone, the dad appeared to be genuinely heartbroken, but don’t worry, the brothers had a trick up their sleeve.
“We’re going to pretend like we sold it, and we’re going to just redo this sucker,” they explained in a video on the Goonzquad YouTube channel.
Rather than selling the Ram, the pair cleared out all the old junk and got it taken away to get a new transmission and tune-up.

With the Dodge Ram now up and running again, they also treated their dad to a new flatbed, as he’d always wanted one.
However, before they got to the big reveal, their dad, who was still devastated at losing his truck, announced he was heading out to their workshop.
The brothers were forced to set up a hasty surprise and showered their dad with confetti as they revealed what they’d been up to.
While the dad may have inadvertently ruined his surprise, it turned out to be a good thing, because with the cat out of the bag, he was able to work alongside his sons to get the Dodge Ram back on the road.
How sweet is that?

Who doesn’t love a surprise?
Normally, we’d never recommend lying to your loved ones, but on rare occasions, and when there’s a beloved vehicle involved, it can have a very positive outcome.
Like when this woman in Florida managed to get her husband’s dream car, a BMW M4, and kept the whole thing a secret from him, or this man who surprised his dad by swapping the original engine of his 1966 Buick Skylark with something a bit special.
Or when this employee was given the surprise of a lifetime after his boss handed him a fully restored 1972 Chevy Corvette as a ‘thank you’ for his years of service.
Anyone else feeling a bit emotional?
