A beloved high school custodian from the US state of Virginia was left speechless after students surprised him with his dream car – a Jeep Wrangler.
Francis Apraku is a custodian at James Madison High School and recently celebrated his birthday.
Unbeknownst to Apraku, pupils at the school had spent months secretly fundraising to buy him his dream vehicle.
The students hatched the plan after Apraku casually mentioned that he’d always dreamed of one day owning a Jeep Wrangler during a conversation about his impending birthday.

The students set up a fundraiser for the beloved custodian
So they decided to set up a GoFundMe page to help raise cash to make the dream a reality for the much-loved custodian.
“We just kind of decided we were going to try and get him his Jeep Wrangler with the GoFundMe,” student Logan Georgelas told Fox5.
“We never really thought that it would come this far. When we got $5,000 in the first day, we were, like, ‘all right this is real.’”
The sweet fundraising page, which was set up by several students including Bennett Hibsman and Georgelas, says Apraku is their ‘favorite custodian’ at the school.
“Francis loves Jeep Wranglers. He moved to America away from his friends and family a few years ago,” the fundraiser explains.
“Ever since we met Francis he has been super friendly and sometimes even says he prays about us.”
He became emotional when presented with his dream car
The fundraiser ended up topping $20,000 and with the help of a local dealer called Andy, the kids were able to pick out the perfect Wrangler for Apraku.
Apraku became emotional after being presented with the car earlier this week.
“This day, September ninth, I will never, ever forget,” he said.
“I will give thanks to Almighty God for making today for me. Today is a great day for me and I didn’t believe this would happen in my life.”
