If Claude is your AI chatbot of choice, then there are a handful of fun prompts that can help you get the most out of it.
Claude was launched in 2023 and currently has more than 18 million monthly active users, racking up more than 200 million visits in January of this year.
In recent months, many ChatGPT users have switched over to Claude.
But whether you’re a new user or have been around from the start, there are some very useful prompts that can help make it better than ever.

These prompts can help you get the most out of Claude
And it’s not a one-size-fits-all approach; you’ll need to prompt Claude differently from ChatGPT and vice versa.
A recent article from Tech Radar, highlighted five prompts that can really help you get the most out of Claude and get a stronger response every time.

The retired professor
One of the smart things about Claude is that you can ask it to respond in the manner of all sorts of professions, like a UX specialist or financial advisor.
So, if you want to get a complex topic explained to you as clearly as possible, you can prompt Claude to respond like a retired professor of that subject who has been asked to explain it to someone with limited knowledge.
For example: ‘explain how cybersecurity works as though you’re a retired online security professor, teaching a small business owner using real-world analogies’.
The future historian
Then, at the other end of the spectrum, you can also prompt Claude to respond as though it is a historian from the future tasked with explaining a current event or situation.
Using this technique will make the chatbot respond with a longer and more interesting answer, rather than just flatly explaining a situation or topic.
The pizza and pirates

This one sounds a little odd, but Tech Radar reckons it really does the trick.
When dealing with a particularly dull or complex topic, you can prompt the bot to get a bit creative by asking it to only use metaphors related to pizzas and pirates.
Of course, you don’t have to stick to pizzas and pirates; you can prompt just about anything you like.
For example, ‘explain how compound interest works, using metaphors about owls and baseball.’
Use Claude to talk to Einstein
Much like the retired professor and the future historian, you can also prompt Claude to answer as though it’s Einstein.
And you don’t have to stick to Einstein, you can ask the chatbot to reply to you in the style of just about any historical figure you like – even fictional ones.
You can also set up a debate between two personalities to see how that plays out and to help get a fuller answer.
