If you’re the sort of person who regularly finds your attention wandering when you’re supposed to be working, then the Fomi AI tracking tool could be a big help.

AI has been helping people make shortcuts in all sorts of ways, from changing the oil in their cars to lowering their hospital bills

And while you might have heard that AI could be coming for your job, in the case of Fomi, AI could help you be a better employee.

The AI tool will track what you’re doing online, and if it catches you procrastinating, you can expect a telling off.

Easily distracted? Fomi AI could keep you on track

These days, many of us are looking for ways to boost our productivity with ‘dumb phones’ or devices designed to combat doomscrolling

However, many of these products and services are geared towards our phones and not our computers.

Which is where Fomi comes in.

The AI tracking tool quietly watches what you’re doing on your computer and will tell you off if you start slacking.

Fomi works by asking what you’re working on and then uses AI to analyze what’s on your screen.

It can then determine if what you’re doing is productive or if you’ve been distracted.

When you’re working away, a green dot and a timer will appear in the corner of your screen. If you move to an application or website that could be a distraction, it’ll turn yellow.

And if you then start actively engaging with the distractions, it’ll go red, and an animated tomato will be splattered across your screen alongside a message telling you to get back on track.

If what you’re browsing looks like it could be a distraction but is actually work, for example, if you need to watch a YouTube tutorial for work, then you can simply let Fomi know that it’s a false alarm.

You can also help to avoid this by giving detailed instructions to Fomi about what your job entails and what sort of things you might need to do.

It’s creators say it can seriously boost your productivity

On its website, Fomi has reviews from several happy users, including one who said it helped them break the cycle of distraction and another who branded it ‘brutal’ but noted that it worked.

In a blog post on its site, the company ran a real-life test of Fomi and said that it boosted daily average focus time to 6.2 hours, an improvement of 51 percent, and had a task completion rate of 91 percent.

It also claimed that AI tracking tool had a user satisfaction score of nine out of 10, but did find that it needed ‘certain learning time’ to offer the best performance.

Fomi offers a three-day free trial, after which you’ll need to sign up to one of its subscription options, which range from $1.99 weekly up to a $29.99 annual fee.
