A Tesla Cybertruck owner towed thousands of pounds on a California road trip, and the EV threw up some surprising results.
Owner Mario Flores shared his adventure on the Cybertruck Owners Only Group on Facebook, with a user on X sharing the story further.
The journey was a lengthy one, and there was a pretty sizable load behind the electric pickup truck.
Yet as the post showed and as its owner confirmed, the Tesla performed very differently from what some might have expected, creating a surprise or two.

What the Tesla Cybertruck owner found while towing
In his Facebook post, Flores said that the EV was towing around 5,000lbs behind it.
That load included electric bikes, cases of water, plus some groceries.
The truck was driving from Redlands to the San Diego beaches in Coronado, a fairly lengthy trip.
He charged just once, as otherwise the truck would have reached its final destination with around 5 percent charge.

The truck has racked up 44,000 miles over the past year, and many of those have come while it’s been towing.
What makes it more impressive is that the tires haven’t been rotated; they are all in the same position from the factory.
It is no surprise, then, that people are very impressed with this.
Some fellow drivers did not believe the Cybertruck owner.
However, not everyone believed the tale that Flores had told on Facebook.
One commented that the truck must have been in chill mode to not have had any tire rotation or replacement.
They claimed their Cybertruck had gone through three sets of tires already!
Others, however, were full of praise for the truck and what it had been capable of.
One called the achievement “amazing man” while claiming his Cybertruck also has its original tires.
Some weren’t sure of Flores’s maths regarding his tire rotation, or lack thereof.
But most of the commentators did believe him and were stunned by what the Tesla Cybertruck could do.
The Facebook post shows that the Cybertruck can do long trips while carrying large loads.
It is yet another thing for the company to tick off in the positives box for the truck.
