Tesla Cybertruck gets an upgrade that people have been asking for since day one

Tuning company Unplugged Performance has given the Tesla Cybertruck a very welcome upgrade, which some folks have been asking for since the truck was first released.
Chances are you’ve already seen some of the impressive work Unplugged Performance has done when it comes to transforming the Cybertruck.
The California-based company has previously overhauled an entire fleet of EV trucks for the Las Vegas Police Department and created a military-inspired beast.
In fact, Unplugged Performance has done such top-notch work on its Cybertruck overhauls that Tesla owners have urged the carmaker to buy the company.

Unplugged Performance has given Cybertruck owners what they’ve been waiting for
This week, Unplugged Performance has revealed its latest upgrade.
And it’s one addition that ‘every Cybertruck owner has been waiting for’, according to its creator.
Earlier this year, you may remember that Unplugged Performance launched the ‘world’s first indestructible Tesla wheel’ for the Model 3 and Model Y.
Now, the company has launched its UP Forged UP-RW Cyber Road Warrior wheels for the Cybertruck.
The forged 20-inch wheels have been specially designed to work with the truck’s size and mass, while being able to handle just about anything you throw at it.
In short, they’ll make the already hard-as-nails Cybertruck even tougher, especially while off-roading.
The stock standard wheels that come with the Cybertruck are cast, rather than forged, which Unplugged Performance says brings along several weakness, including air pockets and brittleness under extreme loads.
However, the UP Forged UP-RW Cyber Road Warrior wheels don’t have the same problems as they’re made from fully forged 6061-T6 aluminum and have a load rating of just under 3,200lbs, all while being extremely aerodynamic.
The wheels feature a unique replaceable outer ring, which means that if you happen to graze a curb or hit some rocks while off-roading, it’s the ring that takes the damage and not the wheel.
The wheels were put up against factory ones in a real-world test
To test the new wheel in real-life conditions, Unplugged Performance tested three Cybertrucks: all identical, aside from their wheels.
One of the trucks was fitted with the stock-standard Foundation Series Cyberwheel; another was given the Core Wheel, which is Tesla’s most efficient offering; and the third truck had the UP Forged UP-RW Cyber Road Warrior.
The three trucks were then driven out from Victorville to Yermo and back, to see how the wheels impacted efficiency.
The numbers showed that the tough Unplugged Performance wheels were just as efficient when it came to range as the Core Wheel, and they out performed the Cyberwheel.
So, you don’t need to compromise on range if you fancy kitting out your Cybertruck with the toughest wheels on the market.
