In a bid to put modern tech through its paces, this man from Georgia ran a $130,000 Tesla Cybertruck against a gas-powered Ram TRX in a drag race, and we’re afraid that one of these beloved beasts was embarrassed.
Since the Cybertruck was rolled out, many American truck owners have been getting splinters, sitting on the morality fence.
Is the new age of tech actually that good? Or are the old, reliable, trusted pickups still the best option?
Well, it doesn’t get much more elite in this clash of the ages, with the ultimate EV – the Cyberbeast – taking on a drag race against the imperious RAM TRX.

Tesla Cybertruck vs RAM TRX drag race
The Cybertruck is renowned for being a daftly quick pickup truck and has often been pitted against world-famous vehicles in the same category.
With its EV motor ripping it into life, the massive sci-fi-looking vehicle has gotten off the mark in drag races quicker than a Corvette Z51.
But its top speed keeps it in close proximity when it comes to quarter-mile times – no spoilers for that race, you’ll have to check that out later.
But the Cyberbeast takes things to a new level.
Thanks to YouTube personality MADMAXC7, the Cybertruck was placed in a drag race alongside the RAM TRX, and these two line green juggernauts made for a clash of the titans.

But in reality, it wasn’t even a contest.
The man from Georgia placed both cars side by side and sent them scorching down a straight, and it was the Cyberbeast that clicked from gear to gear and left a green smudge in its rearview mirrors.
Its electric motor saw it take a commanding lead from the start, and the RAM TRX simply couldn’t catch up.
This might be a different story if both cars started on a fast-paced roll, with the TRX capable of higher speeds, but off the mark, the Tesla Cybertruck is on another planet.
Cyberbeast takes the pickup crown, but what about other Teslas?
So, with such domination in a drag race setting, does the Cyberbeast’s incredible acceleration make it the fastest Tesla?
Well, no.

While it can hold a candle to supercars like a Lamborghini Revuelto, the Cyberbeast is actually one of the slower cars in the Tesla fleet.
That honor goes to the undeniable Model S Plaid, which is up there as one of the fastest cars on the planet.
But, the pickup genre has fallen before the Tesla Cybertruck, and it can be proud of that.
