EV firm Tesla is going through a little bit of a sales slump at the moment.

The American automaker has faced particular difficulty with its marquee Cybertruck.

Sales figures for the model have fallen far below projected expectations.

However, the brand has come up with a very smart solution for all of its unsold Cybertrucks.

Tesla faces tough start to the new year

The first quarter of 2025 has not been a very kind one to Tesla.

America’s premier EV firm has faced a lot of different, varying issues to start 2025.

In particular, Tesla is facing a lot of stiff competition, especially from rivals such as Chinese giants BYD.

In terms of its own range, the controversial Cybertrucks have fallen massively short of sales expectations.

2024 saw Tesla project sales of the Cybertruck to be almost at the 250,000 mark.

However, in its first full year of sales, it only sold around 40,000 units.

Tesla’s truck has also faced legal issues, as it isn’t road-legal in several countries.

Despite a lot of publicity and a, quite frankly, brilliant media campaign, the Cybertruck has fallen well short.

That being said, the EV company has come up with an ingenious solution to its problem.

American firm uses Cybertruck to promote new Model Y

To its credit, Tesla certainly appears to be able to poke fun at itself.

The firm has come up with a clever solution to its sales issues with the Cybertruck.

In Temple, Texas, a motorcade of Cybertrucks was spotted rolling through the streets.

One, in particular, stood out – for a very humorous reason.

The Cybertruck in question was spotted towing a Model Y in a glass case.

Instead of buying billboards and advertising space, the firm has decided to use itself as a billboard.

To be fair, it’s actually a very smart tactic if you think about it.

The Cybertruck is more than eye-catching in its own right – so it’s perfect for advertisements.

Frankly, we have to applaud Tesla’s ingenuity – it is certainly innovative, if nothing else.
