A ’67 Camaro was the subject of a truly wonderful father-son story in Texas.
Texas native Jared Guynes was only a small child when his dad decided to sell his beloved ’67 Camaro.
Earl Guynes did so in order to provide for his young family in Texas at the time.
So Jared decided to honor his dad by gifting him an identical ’67 Camaro for his 65th birthday.

Earl Guynes sells ’67 Camaro to provide for family
Last year, a Texas son gave his father the ultimate birthday surprise.
A story circulated about a man named Earl Guynes, who was celebrating his 65th birthday.
Son Jared has always shared a bond with Earl over cars, so he wanted to get him something special.
The car they bonded over more than any other one happened to be the ’67 Camaro.

In case you’re wondering, the Texas father and son didn’t bond over this car randomly.
They bonded over the ’67 Camaro because Earl Guynes used to own one.
But Earl had to let it go in order to provide for his young family back in 1983.
Earl works at an O’Reilly Auto Parts store in Mesquite, Texas, and has always dreamed about having another Camaro.
So Jared decided to try and repay his father by making his dreams come true.
Jared brings his father’s dream car to life
Jared tried looking for a blue, white-striped ’67 Camaro to buy as a present.
Unfortunately for him, there simply wasn’t a blue, white-striped Chevy that existed on the market.
Instead of searching for the car to buy, he decided to scour the parts to build the dream Chevy.
So he spent three years scouring the internet for the parts and pieces to bring Earl’s dream car to life.
And, you won’t believe it – but Jared only went and hand-built his father’s dream car.
Jared managed to capture the wonderful moment when he was able to gift his father his dream ’67 Camaro.
“Thanks for the diapers, Dad!”, is what Jared said as Earl laid eyes upon this blue-and-white apparition.
It is a truly wonderful Texas tale, and it is a testament to a lifelong bond between father and son.
