These are the stunts that would make even Ken Block need a change of pants.
AMC Hornet in James Bond
Coming in first is the iconic AMC Hornet barrel-roll from the 1974 Bond film The Man With The Golden Gun.
In this scene, Roger Moore is accompanied by Sheriff J.W. Pepper during a chase when they find themselves on the wrong side of a river.
Bond being Bond, decides to perform a barrel-roll to get across. Roger Moore didn’t actually perform this stunt and instead it was done by Loren ‘Bumps’ Willert who drove at 48 mph over a curved ramp.
Regardless of how it was done, the result was unreal.
Smokey and the Bandit bridge jump
The seventies was full of fun and exciting movies and Smokey and the Bandit led the way.
This was an American road action movie about two truck drivers who accepted a dare to pick up a truckload of beer from Texas and return it within 28 hours.
The stunt in question is Bandit’s Pontiac Trans Am’s incredible jump over a broken bridge.

Dwayne Johnson… being Dwayne Johnson
A list covering the world’s coolest car stunts wouldn’t be complete without The Rock. That would be like talking about baking and not mentioning Bakewell tarts or Mary Berry.
The stunt in question is from the 2019 Hobbs and Shaw Fast and Furious film where Dwayne Johnson manages to miraculously throw a chain up into the air to latch onto a helicopter while standing on top of a truck.
This is some proper legendary stuff from someone who also happens to be the tooth fairy…
