Ever felt like your car was so hot you could cook an egg on the dash?

Well, one man from Arizona in the US is putting that to the test in a series of TikTok videos.

When temperatures soared well over 100 degrees fahrenheit (38 C) in the desert state, Joe Brown’s creative juices started flowing.

Joe Brown decided to make quesadillas and see if they would cook inside his car.

And with temperatures reaching 136 degrees, they cooked right through.

When he posted the results on TikTok, Brown’s culinary adventures went viral.

He was soon challenged to cook a whole range of meals on the dash of his car.

And to say TikTok was hooked, is an understatement.

Brown’s videos, in which he cooks everything from cookies and cupcakes to pizza and steak, took off.

Some amassed as many as 31 million views.

In one video, Brown cooks a gummy pizza on the dash of his car, but mistakenly uses a platter with holes in it.

The pizza completely melts and covers his dashboard in sticky sugar.

So, the experiment worked but at what cost?

Brown learned his lesson and decided to cook an actual pizza, cheese and pepperoni, on his dash – but this time he used a solid plate.

The results were epic.

It cooked right through and he ate it with ranch sauce afterwards.

With all this success under his belt, Brown decided to level up and attempt to cook a steak.

He didn’t half do it either, he seasoned it with salt and pepper and waited until the temperature in his car reached 190 degrees fahrenheit.

And the results?

Well let’s just say it’s not something you’d expect to be served at a restaurant, but it did cook through.

His antics quickly earned him more than two million followers on the video sharing app.

And to celebrate, he baked a cake… inside his car.

What a hobby!
