After trying to flex on TikTok, this Hyundai owner was roasted in the comments.
A user named Cade went viral for all the wrong reasons.
He shared a video of his Hyundai starting up, only to be flooded with mocking comments about its sound.
Determined to defend his Elantra N’s honor, he posted a series of follow-up videos demonstrating its roar.

The sound of a Hyundai firing up

It all started when TikToker Cade posted his beloved Hyundai Elantra N revving.
Instead of fire emojis showing love for the car, his video was met with harsh comments.
“Sounds like a lawn mower,” one commenter said.
“Leaf blower,” another commenter said.
And far too many people compared it to a fart.
The Hyundai Elantra N was released in 2022, and has family sedan sensibilities with a track-day attitude.
It already has an aggressive sound, but Cade wanted more.
He added an MBRP catback exhaust and a catless downpipe, resulting in a louder and more aggressive sound.
De-modifying the Elantra N

Not all mods are created equal, though, with some enhancing the vehicle, like the school bus that was converted into a stylish tiny home.
Others, however, can tank its value, as the YouTuber who sold his modified Porsche 911 Targa at a loss found out.
In the case of the Hyundai Elantra, it was clear where the internet stood.
“Everyone is roasting me, telling me it sounds like a fart,” Cade said in a follow up video.
“I don’t know why you guys are flaming me… It’s not that bad.”
But the haters kept hating, insisting he should return it to stock.
Eventually Cade reinstalled its original exhaust, mainly because he wanted to sell it to buy a BMW B58.
Although he doesn’t own the BMW yet, he’s already ordered a pile of mods from Amazon.
We don’t even want to know what the comments will say about that…
