Tom Hanks has it all – an impressive career, millionaire status, and pretty much everything one could dream of.
But despite being blessed with immense wealth, Tom Hanks’ choice of car is quite humble.
Instead of opting for a flashy Ferrari or a Bugatti, he chose an AC Propulsion eBox, a remarkably humble electric vehicle.
Well, if you’re only jumping around the streets of Los Angeles, what more could you want?

Tom Hanks and his humble AC Propulsion eBox
The AC Propulsion eBox that he recently purchased is a converted version of the Scion XB.
Most importantly, the famous actor seemed quite pleased with his recent purchase.
He humorously remarked, “There are three electric cars sitting on the moon, and now another one in my garage. The eBox makes even more sense in Los Angeles than in the Taurus-Littrow Valley of the moon.”
“I can drive all weekend, hauling dogs and helping my friends move, and the only reason I’ll need to stop at a gas station is for beef jerky and lottery tickets,” he added further.
Hanks isn’t the only one embracing humble vehicles, either.
Mark Zuckerberg has quite a humble car collection. Jay Leno is also on the same lines, with one of his favorite cars a $2,700 Tata Nano.
More about Hanks’ Humble EV
This electric car is a product of a California-based company AC Propulsion, and was first introduced in 2008.
The car is equipped with lithium-ion batteries, giving it a driving range of 140 to 180 miles on a single charge.
It’s not as impressive as this EV created by the students that goes 1600 miles, but its still equivalent to what an average EV offers.
The car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.0 seconds and has a top speed of 95mph (153km/h).
It’s not what an adrenaline junkie would love to drive, but Tom Hanks loves the car and enjoys driving it.
