Toyota is turning up the voltage at SEMA 2025 with its new bZ Time Attack Concept: a 400-horsepower electric beast built to show that EVs belong on the track.

It is the Japanese carmaker’s first-ever battery-electric concept created specifically for the SEMA Show.

It’s not just for show either (pun intended); this thing is designed to conquer time attack circuits and hill climbs alike.

Forget quiet commutes or eco modes, this is an EV that screams performance.

The bZ Time Attack Concept looks straight out of a video game

Unveiled in Las Vegas, the bZ Time Attack Concept is Toyota’s boldest experiment yet in electrified motorsport.

Built from the bones of the upcoming 2026 Toyota bZ AWD platform, it’s been transformed into a purpose-built, track-hugging monster.

The all-wheel-drive setup channels more than 300 kW (over 400 horsepower) through a bespoke ECU tune developed by Toyota R&D.

Add in TEIN coilovers, an Alcon braking system from Toyota’s 86 Cup and Corolla TC programs, and a fully FIA-spec 4130 chromoly cage, and you’ve got one serious EV built for apexes, not errands.

Visually, the car looks straight out of a video game.

Lowered a massive six inches from stock with a six-inch wider track, it wears a full aerodynamic suit, complete with rear wing, side skirts, front splitter, and rear diffuser.

The widebody kit was engineered using laser scanning, CAD modeling, and massive 3D printing at Toyota’s Add Lab in Kentucky.

Fender arches were printed full-scale and then hand-finished, blending cutting-edge tech with old-school race shop artistry.

The concept rolls on 19×11-inch BBS Unlimited wheels wrapped in sticky 305/30ZR19 Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires.

They are all finished in a custom pearl white, black, and red tri-color paint scheme that screams Toyota Racing heritage.

This car will headline the brand’s display at SEMA 2025

Inside, it’s pure business, with OMP racing seats, harnesses, and a stripped-down cockpit ready for lap records, not latte runs.

“This wasn’t about building a showpiece,” said builder Marty Schwerter of Toyota’s Motorsports Technical Center.

“It’s about proving what Toyota’s BEV platforms are truly capable of.”

The bZ Time Attack Concept will headline the carmaker’s Powered by Possibility’ display at SEMA 2025, standing alongside a lineup that includes everything from hybrids to hydrogen.
