The Floating Venice will be the first of its kind.

Inspired by the Italian city, it will have water canals running under bridges and winding through Mediterranean-inspired buildings.

The developers, The Kleindienst Group, are even importing authentic gondolas from Venice to serve as the primary means of transport.

The real draw card will be the resort’s underwater build.

The Floating Venice underwater suites

Not only will you be able to enjoy views of the iconic Dubai skyline, you will also have the option to stay in underwater cabins and dine at underwater restaurants.

Of the resort’s 414 suites, 180 will be underwater.

These underwater cabins will have floor-to-ceiling glass walls, giving you unobstructed views of the sea life.

Developers say there will also be lush coral gardens spanning 400,000 square feet around the resort.

You will never need to leave the confines of Floating Venice either, because it will be packed with 12 different restaurants and bars.

Nine of them will be above the surface and three below it.

And speaking of over-the-top opulence, the resort will have 24 pools, each with a transparent floor so you can see the coral gardens below you as you swim.

The resort, which will be built at The World Islands, will also be surrounded by 12 beaches.

The developers say they want you to feel as if you’re truly in Venice, and to do this, they will also hold authentic Italian cultural events.

All the traditional festivals celebrated in Venice will also be celebrated at The Floating Venice, including Carnevale di Venezia, Biennale di Venezia, and Festa del Redentore.

Suites at the resort are already available to buy, with prices starting at USD $800,000.
