Disney is throwing a Star Wars holiday at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Called the ‘Galactic Supercruiser’, the Star Wars Disney cruise is happening inside a mock spaceship designed to look like the Halcyon starcruiser.

It’s pretty cool.

But it’s also pretty expensive.

Partly because the rooms aren’t cheap, but also because on board, cocktails will go for as much as $5,000.

So what happens on board the Star Wars Disney cruise?

There are no real windows on board, and everything is designed to make you feel like you’re in outer space.

During the first day, they’ll take you on a tour of the ship and there will be some fun activities such as ‘bridge training’, giving you the opportunity to learn how to operate the supercruiser.

On the second day things get really lively with a lightsaber training session and, as a cherry on top, you’ll also get to ‘travel’ to Batuu, the fictional planet that plays a key role in the Star Wars saga.

It is a faithful reproduction, and is really visually stunning.

What about the $5,000 cocktail?

As you’d expect, the dining experience also takes its inspiration from space and guests on board will have a variety of options, including the ‘Captain’s Table’ and the Crown of Cornellia Dining Room.

There’s also the Sublight Lounge, where you’ll be able to order a cocktail called Kaiburr Crystal, named after the Kyber Crystals that power lightsabers.

It’s a super-fancy, super-expensive and ultra-futuristic cocktail that comes in a space-themed case with self-lowering doors and smoke that comes out as the doors open.

Can anyone go?

Technically, yes. But the number of rooms available is limited.

Guests can choose between a Standard Cabin, a Galaxy Class Suite or a Grand Captain Suite.

There’s enough room (and enough beds) for 4 passengers in each room, except for the Grand Captain Suite where you have room for eight passengers.

Pricing starts at $749 per guest per night.
