The Ferrari SF90 decided to go head-to-head with a Corvette ZR1, and the battle ended up being one for the books.
Both cars boast incredible amounts of power, but there was a twist, with the Ferrari receiving a helping hand, with extra horsepower.
The race was a test of pure engineering experience, with each V8 being pushed to its absolute limit.
There could only be one winner, though, and it may not be what you’d initially expect.

Ferrari vs Corvette: Here’s what you need to know
What was once known as a classic American muscle car now boasts a whole new level of power.
The Chevrolet Corvette is the ultimate track-ready hypercar, equipped with a mighty twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine, capable of producing a whopping 1,064hp and reaching 233mph.
The car truly is a force to be reckoned with, but there was one willing competitor, the Ferrari SF90, ready to take on the challenge.

YouTuber Drag Times decided to push both cars into a battle of sheer speed as they took part in a quarter-mile drag race.
Simple enough, right?
Well, think again.
The PHEV SF90 is powered by a mighty 4-liter V8 engine that gives it a top speed of 211mph, producing 986hp, but it wasn’t all as it seemed.
The SF90 was no ordinary Ferrari from the factory floor; instead, the car was tuned to bring a mighty level of 1,200hp to the strip.

Whereas the Corvette was once the frontrunner, the SF90 now looked to be the favorite.

The Ferrari SF90 and Corvette ZR1 took the track with the top spot at stake
As both cars took to the track, it was clear that the race was about to be a wild ride, and with three chances to gain pole position, things got off to a roaring start.
In race one, the Corvette ZR1 stormed into the lead, completely knocking the Ferrari SF90 out with a time of 9.330 seconds.

As the second battle began, the Ferrari SF90 made a dramatic return, finishing with a time of 9.877 seconds at 149.40mph.
During the third and final race, the Corvette ZR1 once again showed that even a tuned Ferrari, the absolute king of supercars, was no match for the sheer engineering that rolled straight off the production line.
The Corvette’s time of 9.352 seconds, versus the SF90 at 9.363, shows that Chevy should never be underestimated.
