This sweet United Airlines pilot found the perfect way to make it up to passengers after an emergency landing somewhere far from their intended destination.
United Flight 1813 was cruising from San Francisco to Houston when things suddenly took a turn.
A medical emergency occurred on the plane, forcing the aircraft to be rerouted to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The crew handled the medical emergency like pros, but by the time the passenger was safely off the aircraft, a new problem emerged: everyone was hungry, and there was nowhere to get food. That’s where this pilot came in.

This United Airlines pilot finds the perfect way to save an emergency landing
United Flight 1813 was cruising from San Francisco to Houston when things suddenly went pear-shaped because, less than two hours in, a passenger collapsed in the airplane bathroom.
This even forced the Boeing 737 Max 9 to make an emergency landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, far away from the intended destination.
The crew artfully and professionally handled getting the ill passenger off the plane, but once everything was handled, a new problem had arisen.
All the flight attendants had timed out, all the restaurants were closed, and 150 hungry travellers were stuck in limbo.
But, according to this TikToker, the pilot of the plane came to the rescue.

He was so kind to his passengers
150 frustrated passengers faced a night with no food and no sleep, but instead of letting the tension rise, the pilot decided to do something few captains ever would – he ordered pizza for everyone.
He used his own money to order 30 piping-hot pizzas directly to the gate, and he laid out all of the pizzas on tables and made sure every single passenger had at least one slice.

He only took a slice when he knew that all his passengers had enough to eat, which was compassion personified.
His kind gesture flipped what could have been a disastrous situation into a moment of kindness and compassion.
This United Airlines pilot has a pizza our hearts!
