A man bought a $1 million Porsche Carrera GT supercar at a gas station after checking his bank account.
An Instagram account showed the man walking up to the owner of the Porsche Carrera GT, one of the most valuable Porsches ever made, while he filled it with gas.
That man was Houston Crosta, who’d been driving around town when he spotted the car being refilled at a gas pump.
Amazingly, this is a Carrera GT he’d tried to buy in 2023, but at the time, it wasn’t to be.

How the YouTuber first missed out on the Carrera GT
The GT originally went up for sale at auction online, and somehow, it didn’t sell.
Despite Crosta’s bid of $600,000, it wasn’t enough to meet the supercar’s reserve. So the car stayed with its owner.
And then, many months later, Crosta was driving around, and happened to notice a familiar Porsche.
This was while he was making a completely different video for YouTube.
It was stopped for gas at an area gas station. Intrigued, Crosta grabbed his cell.
A quick check online showed it was, in fact, the same Porsche he’d bid on back in 2023.
Sensing an opportunity, he decided to head over to its owner and see if it was somehow still for sale.
During their chat, the owner revealed Crosta’s bid wasn’t that far off the reserve, and the car was indeed still up for sale.
The YouTuber couldn’t believe his luck and had to go away and check that he had enough money to buy a supercar.
Crosta then went to the nearest branch, and, to the confusion of the employees, took out a cheque for some serious money.
He then met up with the owner again, and just a few minutes later, he was the proud owner of a Carrera GT.
The supercar is one of the best Porsches ever made
The Carrera GT is an amazing car, with a 5.7-liter Porsche V10 under the hood making 603HP.
It was built from 2003 to 2006, and this was a 2005 example.

The Carrera GT was one of the world’s most advanced supercars at the time, with superb handling.
Due to their rarity and prowess, they are not cheap, with some selling for over $2 million.
Despite the high cost, the Porsche Carrera GT was a car that Crosta really wanted. And he got a bargain.
Sometimes fate has a funny way of letting things play out.
