Buying anything at auction can be a gamble, but these experts managed to take a huge risk on some heavy-duty used trucks and gear, and their $39k bid has reaped its rewards.
As it with any unseen purchase, the car you inherit isn’t always as what it seems, and with no manufacturer warranty, you can often run into some problems.
But in the case of US YouTuber HeavyDSparks, the problems he took ownership of in two used trucks turned out to be super cheap replacements and he cashed in big.
Notorious for finding the needle in the auctioneer haystack, HeavyDSparks has been up to his usual tricks again.

HeavyDSparks took a huge $39K risk at used trucks auction and was shocked at his purchase
Dubbed as one of his ‘craziest auction scores’ yet, the Utah man took to a new upload and revealed that he’d bought two massive vehicles for $39,000.
The vehicles in question were a 6×6 International truck and a Freightliner day-cab semi with an attached dump trailer.
At their MRSP, this trio would have been worth $350,000, leaving HeavyDSparks to think it was ‘too good to be true’.
“It was a deal that honestly felt too good to be true… I’m still waiting for the other shoe to drop,” he said.
But it wasn’t too good to be true, it was the real deal.

Listed as ‘used trucks’ and ‘non-runners’, the YouTuber knew he was taking on a restoration job of sorts, but what he found was that these heavily-discounted vehicles barely need fixing at all.
A simple fuse swap was all that was needed for the 6×6 to kick into life, and a new battery had the Freightliner purring soon after.
So, with such a high ceiling and a low buying price, how much profit did he actually make?
How much profit did he make?
Having been prone to cashing in well on these types of vehicles, the YouTube personality listed both cars on the market and made some tidy profits.
The 6×6 was shipped off for $25,000 (a $6,000 gain), while the Freightliner brought in $9,000 ($6,000 profit).
“We made 12 grand. Damn near doubled our money on a quick flip,” he added.
However, the man did end up losing money.
But that’s only because he chose to keep the trailer.

According to the used trucks expert, the trailer is valued at a solid $80,000, which is four times what he paid, but he thinks it can be put to good use on the channel.
Still, even for a man so well-versed in the used trucks genre, this was still one of the most impressive coups we’ve seen.
