A motorist has given a glimpse of what it’s like to drive through the world’s longest car wash. 

The car wash in question is situated at Buc-ee’s in Katy, Texas, in the US.

A first-person view of the world record-holding carwash was shared on TikTok.

And, as the clip shows, it’s more than just a car wash, it’s a whole experience.

The car wash is the longest in the world

The car wash has a conveyor measuring a whopping 77 meters long (255 feet) – just a little shorter than a football field – and houses 17 blowers and 32 vacuum stations.

This isn’t the only record that Buc-ee’s owns, it also has the world’s largest gas station fitted with 120 pumps as well as EV charging stations.

In August this year, the Texas Travel TikTok account shared a clip showing what it was like to head through the longest carwash in the world, which soon went viral.

When arriving at the car wash, customers can choose from two options: a basic wash for $13 or ‘The Works’ for $16.

In the clip, the driver chose the more expensive option, which includes some additional extras such as use of the vacuum cleaners and a tire shine service.

Drivers are kept entertained throughout

Once the driver has selected their option, they can head through the car wash which is ‘pretty entertaining the whole way’, according to the TikTok clip.

“You’ll get to see tons of colors and even a Buc-ee’s hologram at the beginning,” the video explained.

Pretty cool, right?

The lengthy car wash takes around five minutes to get through.

At the end of the video, the TikToker shows off their newly cleaned motor and was quickly flooded with comments from folks who were keen to give it a try.

Although already holding a couple of records under its belt – and some awards for its clean bathrooms – Buc-ee’s is not resting on its laurels.

Earlier this year, it beat it own record for the world’s largest convenience store when it opened up its Luling branch that spans a staggering 7,022 square meters (75,593 square feet).
