YouTuber WhistlinDiesel has shared another one of his unusual experiments, and this time it’s all to do with a robot and its behavior.
It’s no secret that AI and robotics are taking over in more than one industry, and now this robot has been put to the ultimate test.
The artificial companion was snapped up by the creator for a mighty sum of $80,000.
But, after instructing the humanoid to carry out tasks, a realisation was made.

This robot was put through its paces by Whistlin Diesel
Robots are set to make their way into our homes, so to test their true ability, Cody, aka Whistlin Diesel, decided to purchase one for himself.
But this wasn’t any ordinary experiment.

In fact, the daredevil decided to run some pretty dangerous tests on the machine from Unitree Robotics.
From asking it to cook a meal, and it not exactly providing Michelin star service, to looking after a baby doll in a crib, the purpose of the robot was to help out around the house and make the YouTuber’s life easier.
In fact, in an unusual test, Cody even asked the artificial machine to navigate through robust materials, so the gadget can’t be blamed for that, as it is not its intended use.

The robot was also tasked with mundane daily errands, including mowing the lawn, which, you have to admit, would save many people hours of time and stress on the weekend or after work.
The humanoid’s speed and agility were also tested when it ran uphill.
Now, despite the robot being made to lighten the load, the goal wasn’t always achieved.
The creator came to a harsh realisation
After testing the metal machine to the absolute extreme, an unusual string of events happened.
We should be clear here that it is your own responsibility to make sure that you provide a safe environment for the creation to operate in, much like parents ensure parts of their houses are child-proof.
It seems that droids can actually potentially be dangerous, and in this instance, Cody’s robot ended up running into the mirror and smashing it.

You know what they say, it’s seven years bad luck when a mirror is smashed, so the companion better watch its back.
So, much like children, they can be troublemakers, but if you provide the right environment for them to exist in, then this shouldn’t be the case.
You should also be sensible and abide by the intended use.
