What’s it like to win a car on a TV show?

The View isn’t the first show to hand out a free car to its audience members.

Back in 2010, a woman snagged herself a brand-new Volkswagen Beetle after appearing in the audience of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

The woman opened up about her experience on TikTok where she posts under the handle @AlwaysCandid

In one post, she revealed that the taping took around two-and-a-half hours, including handing out the free cars

The winners had their choice of colors, including red, yellow, silver, or light blue, and were informed that the show would be stumping up the cost of the taxes for the prizes.

The woman said it took about a year or so to actually get the car from a local dealership, but more than a decade on she’s still got in her garage.
