The Lamborghini Revuelto is an extremely nice supercar.
We can only imagine that it would make an even nicer gift, if you were lucky enough to receive one.
However, a College Football player is being forced to give it back.
And it all comes down to a defining moment of last season.

Michael Taaffe: All-American Longhorn star
If you’re a fan of the College game, you might have heard of Michael Taaffe.
Should you happen to be a football fan from Texas, you will most certainly have heard of him.
If you happen to be a Texas Longhorns fan, you most probably adore him.
The Austin, Texas native is one of the brightest young stars of the SEC team.

In fact, the young Defensive Back won second-team All-American honours as he helped his team towards the Cotton Bowl Classic.
Sadly, Taaffe and the Texan team were knocked out by the Ohio State Buckeyes, who went on to beat Notre Dame and win the National Championship.
There is a very important reason why this particular loss is relevant to Michael Taaffe.
NIL sponsorship for Lamborghini expires
This week, we wrote about the breaking story surrounding Michael Taaffe and his Lamborghini.
Lamborghini Austin is the official Lamborghini dealership for that area.
They are also known for being big supporters of the Longhorns football program.
They regularly partner with the programs’ biggest stars – Atlanta Falcons Running Back Bijan Robinson being a good example.
Last season, they partnered with Taaffe and a teammate for a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) sponsorship.
What this means is that Taaffe was given a brand new 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto.
As part of the sponsorship, the player was given the car to help gain exposure for the dealership.
Unfortunately for Taaffe, who is returning to the Longhorns instead of enrolling in the NFL draft, it’s not great news on the supercar front.
Taaffe was recently a guest on the 3rd and Longhorn podcast, and he explained his love for the Lamborghini.
Taaffe explained: “Well, the NIL was for last season.”
“But we were under the impression that we were going to win the national championship and I was going to go to the NFL after this season.
“The guy at Lamborghini Austin, Mr. Bruce Knox, if you’re tuning in — one more year.”
We can’t say we blame Michael Taaffe – we would want to keep the Lamborghini Revuelto as well.
