When this man spent $15,000 to build a fully functional wooden Tesla Cybertruck, he wound up getting a response from Elon Musk himself.
It’d be impressive enough replicating the shape of a Cybertruck from wood, but to have it be totally drivable? That’s taking stuff to another level of skill.
ND Woodworking Art spent 100 days working on this project with the hopes of getting the attention of Tesla’s CEO.
After sharing it to X, they got what they had been hoping for.
This guy is a mastermind when it comes to woodworks
Anyone who can recall their days in woodshop will know that working with wood isn’t always so easy.
So for someone to make cars out of wood, you know that their skillset is way above sawing and sanding.
ND Woodworking Art has been wowing the internet for a long while with his exceptional abilities.
He’s built his son a Ferrari GTO 250 and a tank that shoots.
You may also recall that he once made a huge wooden train for the children of his village to enjoy.
So he’s more than willing to let others enjoy the fruit of his labors, what a nice guy.
This time around, he was perhaps taking on his most ambitious build yet.
And considering he made a tank, you know that’s a bold claim.
Wood you believe it? This wooden Tesla Cybertruck was fully operational
This build came as courtesy of many requests from his followers.
We have to imagine they really wanted to put him to the test with this one.
Fortunately, he delivered in a big way.
After welding together a metal chassis, he got to work constructing the body out of wood.
It wasn’t entirely wooden, as a few modern details found their way in there like LED headlights, a display screen, and the infamous huge wiper.

He did this before the Cybertruck was officially released.

Elon Musk had his say about the project
In the past, Elon Musk hasn’t shied away from sharing his thoughts on all things Tesla.
Whether it’s Marques Brownlee selling his Cybertruck or Snoop Dogg asking for a free Tesla, he’s been on the ball when it comes to talking Tesla.
And things were no different with this wooden Cybertruck, which ND Woodworking Art was hoping he’d appreciate.
In a post to X, the artist shared his project with some well wishes.
“I am aware that Tesla has faced its share of challenges in bringing the Cybertruck to fruition. However, I maintain unwavering faith in your vision and the capabilities of Tesla,” he said.
“I hope to have the honor of gifting this wooden Cybertruck to you and Tesla, to wish you and Tesla continued success and maintain your position in the international arena.”
In turn, Musk responded – using few words, as he often does.
“Sure, much appreciated,” he said.
Not exactly a rave review, but still a show of appreciation.
