Another day, another YouTuber causing a stir online.
This time it’s the turn of Matthew Beem, who has built the world’s biggest iPhone.
Astonishingly, the model of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, Apple’s highest-specced phone, measures a staggering eight feet.

Beem took to the streets of New York carrying the phone in a cart, obviously filming the whole thing.
The device’s display was built using the touch-enabled screens of televisions connected to a Mac Mini.
Beem also added a volume button for sound.
In a YouTube video posted to his channel, Beem shared the entire build process and this is the most impressive part.
He starts off by building a sturdy metal frame that will act as the foundation of the enormous device.
Just like the real thing, the YouTuber replicates the design of the iPhone, giving the surface of the device a matte finish, to reflect light, and feature functional buttons.
Beem focussed pretty heavily on the display, adding a laser to give it a touch of realism.
The connected Mac Mini means the device can run the same applications commonly used on iPhones.
And it offers a pretty seamless user experience despite its colossal size.
The world’s biggest iPhone also has cameras, including one on the front for selfies.
But according to his video, it’s extremely difficult to take a selfie due to the sheer size of the thing.
He asked one of his team to tap the camera button while he jumped to get in the frame.
Beem’s effort led him to break the existing record held by another YouTuber named ZHC, who built a six-foot iPhone in 2020.
On the streets of New York, passersby were stunned.
“That’s pretty sick,” one commented.
“Ooh, that’s weird – why’s it so big?” another said.
“That’s a big phone – is that the 15 Pro Max?” another quipped.
After being moved on by a police officer, Beem took his giant iPhone to a Swatch store to buy a new watch which, of course, he paid for using Apple Pay.
He then visited several of the city’s iconic sites before staying the night in a hotel, using the iPhone’s alarm to wake up.
The following day he took the phone to Central Park, taking it on the Subway, before getting the phone reviewed by MKBHD.
It’s a crazy video that’s definitely worth a watch – check it out!
