Despite finding out that his Porsche Taycan EV had depreciated so much that it was ‘worthless’, this YouTube personality traveled to the dealership to find out who was buying it, as he ‘can’t let it go’

It’s not always easy to let go of a car.

After all, with the years of driving together, you form a bond with your vehicle.

So much so that, despite costing him over $100,000 in depreciation, this Porsche Taycan EV owner has headed back to the dealership he sold it to, as he ‘can’t let it go’.

Porsche Taycan EV owner compares selling his ‘worthless’ car to a heartbreak

Unfortunately for Porsche Taycan EV owners, the luxury sports car is one of the biggest depreciators on the market.

Just as YouTube star the MacMaster found out.

Despite only being a few years old, he’s lost out on six figures through his Taycan’s depreciation, which is now ‘worthless’.

But with so many good memories, he couldn’t pass the keys on without mourning.

In a new upload, he’s now described the process of selling the Porsche Taycan EV like watching your ex-partner move on with someone else.

On a trip to the dealership to wave goodbye, he said he ‘can’t let it go’.

“Remember your first love, right?” he began.

“And then you broke up with your first love, and how it felt when your first love then started to date somebody else, and all the thoughts going through your head.

“Oh, they’re going to be intimate together. They’re going to be going out sharing drinks. They’re going to be going out for drives together.

“And even though you’d split up, you still hold that flame for them. Well, that’s what it’s about today.”

So, in a final ceremony, he waved goodbye to the car and implored the new owner to get in touch and share their experience on the channel.

After every breakup come bigger and better things

There’s plenty more fish in the sea, right? Well, the same goes for cars.

In the case of The MacMaster, he’s since had a rebound and another full-time ride-or-die partner, the latter of which was extremely similar to the old flame. He’s clearly got a type.

On the bounce, he gave into the ‘dark side’ in a quick fling with Tesla, jumping into the driving seat of a Model Y for a quick good time.

However, he’s now been back to the market for a permanent fixture, and has settled on a Porsche Taycan EV

Again.

This time, he’ll hope to learn from his mistakes and keep as much equity in the car as possible.

Although it’s not always that easy.
