A YouTuber bought the ‘worst abandoned supercar in America,’ hoping to restore it to its former glory.
He wanted to restore the vehicle to either flip it or make it into his personal race car.
The car in question is a Mercedes-AMG GT that was left to rot in the sun for five years.
The condition of the car also speaks for itself and definitely deserves the title of the ‘worst abandoned supercar in the country.’

Abandoned supercar restored to a racing beast
Earlier this year, Michael Essa from DailyDrivenExotics bought an abandoned Mercedes-AMG GT.
The car was in quite a critical condition with a battered exterior and a non-starting engine.
Since Essa is a seasoned racer himself, he wanted to restore the car into an AMG GT3 race car for the streets.
However, the condition of the engine and other damaged parts made the job very difficult.
While it isn’t the first time we have seen a Mercedes AMG GT being restored, it is quite impressive to see such a damaged supercar being resurrected to be even better than its past self.
As the team took a closer look at the car, they uncovered a laundry list of issues.
Fixing a totaled Mercedes AMG GT
Inspecting the undercarriage revealed locked rear wheels, oil leaks, and debris from off-roading.
It seems the previous owner treated this supercar quite roughly.
Even without these issues, the abandoned supercar also had sun damage, mold-infested interior, and rat damage on the wiring.
However, after months and months of repairs, the engine has now been fixed.
The only thing left is to fit it with a GT3 widebody kit and turn it into a full-on race car.
However, we will have to wait a while to see the cosmetic changes Essa plans to make to this supercar.
