American Youtuber Siraj Raval claims he makes $800 a month mining crypto with his 2018 Model 3 Tesla.
Raval claims he hacked the onboard firmware and has been mining an average of 0.25 – 0.30 ETH (worth around $800) a month for nearly a year.
But others in the crypto community have thrown serious doubt on his Tesla mining claims.

Miner Thomas Somers told CNBC there was no way Raval was telling the truth.
Mr Somers said the YouTuber was likely earning no more than $13 each month.
Raval has not yet responded to his doubters.
So far, we’ve seen crypto mining from private customers but as it turns out, automakers are moving in this direction as well.
A company in Denmark called Daymak has just launched the Spiritus EV, a weird- and futuristic-looking 197-hp 3-wheeler that can apparently mine crypto while it’s parked.
