This YouTuber couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the rare classic car that his friend had been hoarding behind garage shutters.

Yianni, the host of YouTube channel Yiannimize, paid a visit to his pal’s garage.

Don’t be deceived by how it looks from the outside – this space can pack quite a few cars inside.

But one in particular got Yianni’s attention.

Finding a rare classic car in the garage

YouTuber Yianni visited his friend Andrew’s house to take a look inside his garage.

In some ways, it was a far cry from previous collections he’d taken a look at.

Unlike the collection of Tom Hartley, there wasn’t much space in this garage to get nice, wide shots of the cars.

Nevertheless, one vehicle stood out to Yianni.

It was the Peugeot 205 1.9 GTI, which Yianni noted is quite popular with car YouTubers.

Andrew Pantelli is just one of the names who count the car among their collections.

Andrew’s came from 1988.

“This is one of the first 1.9s ever made, so it’s a very rare car,” Andrew said of the Peugeot 205.

“It’s a Phase One 1.9.

“I always wanted one of these, when my dad used to repair cars.

“And when he’d bring them home, I used to see the red carpet and I was like ‘Wow! What an incredible car!'”

Red carpet is cool and all, but it’s not quite the Persian rug makeover that this 1980 Mercedes 300SD had.

By the time Andrew acquired the Peugeot 205 1.9 from its original owner, it was in desperate need of a touch-up.

“The lacquer was peeling, it needed a lot of TLC,” he recalled.

“I stripped it all down, got it all painted, did the interior and everything else.

“Still need to find a glove box for it. Can’t find a glove box for lover nor money.”
