YouTuber Cody Detwiler, aka WhistlinDiesel, has given an update to his legal case and has revealed what happened at a police station after he was arrested for tax issues on a Ferrari supercar.
The popular YouTuber has stated that he was arrested for what he said was tax evasion, after police came to his workshop and arrested him.
This left WhistlinDiesel confused, as he said he ensures he pays his taxes, potentially more than he really needs to pay, but he cooperated with the arrest.
After the confusion, WhistlinDiesel was finally alerted to what was going on, and his recent YouTube video talks about the latest update on the situation.

What WhistlinDiesel said about the arrest
Initially, thinking his friends had pranked him, the YouTuber was very confused by what went on.
The police officers pulled out a warrant saying that his arrest was for tax evasion.
He was taken to a police station and put in a cell, but thankfully, he was bailed out within a couple of hours.
That still left the YouTuber confused as to what was happening.

They did tell him, however, that he had a court date set for January regarding the warrants.
The news spread quickly, with various outlets accusing him of evading tax.
But he eventually found out what the problem was.
The YouTuber was arrested for sales tax evasion
According to his video, he was arrested for allegedly not paying sales tax on one of his cars.
This was his Ferrari, ironically one that caught on fire and no longer exists.
According to Cody, the supercar caught on fire in a completely different US State, too.
He had no letter, notice, or anything about the car and its sales tax issues.
That is what led to him being so confused.
The car was registered in Montana, and you can avoid sales tax on luxury vehicles if you have a business there.
This business can hold your assets, which means you don’t need to pay that tax.
It is the lack of communication around it that has really annoyed Cody, as it could have easily been avoided.
The question now is what happens after this and how the YouTuber can move past the situation.
