Bespoke Rolls-Royce commissioned for private collectors
Some of the rarest Rolls-Royce cars are bespoke vehicles made for its wealthiest clients.
Starting off the list is the Rolls-Royce Black Bade Cullinan ‘Blue Shadow’.
The space-themed vehicle is inspired by the Kármán Line: the mysterious boundary 62 miles above the Earth’s surface, where outer space begins.
Fittingly, there are only 62 units worldwide, and they’re available exclusively through Rolls-Royce Private Office, an invitation-only design studio that only has five locations around the globe.

Up next is the Droptail La Rose Noire, which is one of only four Droptail models ever produced.
This beauty showcases a dark, rose-inspired theme, and with an estimated price tag of over $30 million, it is one of the most expensive cars ever produced.

The Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is another automotive rarity which revives 1920s-era coach-built luxury in a fully bespoke convertible.
Just three were ever made, and out of the three, only two owners were ever revealed, with the third car being owned by a mystery buyer.

The Rolls-Royce Sweptail is truly one-of-a-kind, with no hyperbole needed.
It is a one-off commission that echoes luxury yachts and custom coachwork of the 1920s and 1930s.
It was also the most expensive new car in 2017, commanding a $13 million price tag.

The rarest Rolls-Royce cars have great historical significance
On the other end of the spectrum, some of the other rarest Rolls-Royce cars are historic coach-built classics that show off the brand’s history.
One such model is Rolls-Royce Phantom I Jonckheere Coupe, a rare interwar coach-built Phantom with bodywork by Belgian specialist Jonchkheere.
Some other examples include the Rolls-Royce Phantom Hyperion by Pinifarina, the Rolls-Royce Phantom II by Figoni et Falaschi, and the Silver Dawn park Ward Drophead Coupe.
But perhaps one of the rarest (and most historic) models is the Rolls-Royce 15 HP, one of the earliest cars produced by the company.

The only car that can best the above models in rarity and historic significance is the Rolls‑Royce 10HP, the first car produced by the founders of the company.
The Rolls-Royce 10HP were produced between 1904-1905 in tiny numbers, and are virtually non-existent now.

No matter how you look at it, it’s one of the most prized finds for any collector in the world.
