An American YouTuber is rebuilding a 1993 Toyota Supra he recovered from a junkyard, and he claims the finished product is better than new.
Jack – from Jack Builds It – showcases the car in one of his latest videos, revealing what it was like when he first bought the ride.
The final portion of the video shows that it’s nearly ready to go for the SEMA 2025 event, and shows how much progress he’s made with its restoration.
The end result shows that even the worst of junkyard finds can become diamonds in the right hands.

Stripping the pain on the Supra is the first task
Inspection of the car revealed at least four layers of paint covering the body.
Much of that paint is uncured, meaning the Supra needs stripping to the bare metal.
While doing this, Jack also found a large amount of body filler on parts including the doors.
It required a lot of metal work and fixing to get the Supra looking fresh and new.
But more issues were soon uncovered.
The doors showed signs of previous bodywork rusting issues, and there was a horrible amount of rusting and cracks along the door frames.
Removing the rust takes up a large portion of the video, as Jack then continued to smooth out the bodywork, including working on the quarter panels.
As with Jack’s other builds on his channel, he has spent his money wisely, for example, he fabricated a piece for the door out of some $33 sheet metal.
The finished product is a credit to Jack’s work
Jack eventually completes grinding the welds and making all the bodywork repairs.
It took four and a half months to get the Toyota’s body shell ready for painting.
But the work clearly paid off, with the body looking 100 times better than when Jack first got his hands on the car.
The team, including colleagues Brian and Kandyman, then got to work applying the new paint to the Supra.

Jet Green Metallic was his color of choice for the Supra.
The base coat gives us an idea of how the car will look when it’s finished.
Fast forward to the end of the video, and the Supra looks exceptional.
The clear coat applied on top gives the Toyota a smooth, shiny finish.
It truly transformed the car from its junkyard condition.
Next up, Jack will give the car a complete interior makeover and Singer-style customization.
It’s safe to say we can’t wait to see what the finished car looks like.
