The 2025 Buick Enclave SUV has won a Top Safety Pick+ safety award – its first safety award since 2013.

Buick introduced the three-row SUV back in 2007, having previously unveiled it as a concept the year before.

The Enclave got a second generation in 2018 and then another refresh for the model year 2025.

This time around, it’s being offered with three trim levels: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir.

Buick has given the 2025 Enclave SUV a facelift, with a new exterior based on the Wildcat EV concept car, and it’s also been given a bump in horsepower from 310hp to 328hp.

Inside, the new Enclave has a floating center console and a super-wide 30-inch display that does double duty as a touchscreen infotainment system and instrument cluster.

That’s some fancy stuff, right there.

The SUV has been given numerous new safety features and is the first Buick to be fitted with Super Cruise hands-free advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), which includes Driver Attention Assist and Enhanced Automatic Park Assist.

It also comes with Blind Zone Steering Assist, Departure Warning, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, and Lane Keep Assist.

The updated 2025 Buick Enclave has impressed the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), with the non-profit safety organization awarding it a Top Safety Pick+.

Its crashworthiness was rated as ‘Good’ across the board, including the small overlap front ratings for both the driver-side and passenger-side.

All Enclave trims built after January this year were scored a ‘Good’ rating, but some of the older ones were given ‘Marginal’ scores due to glare on the low beams and limited visibility on some bends with the high beams.

It also scored a ‘Good’ rating on front car crash prevention involving another vehicle, but was given an ‘Acceptable’ score for car crash prevention involving pedestrians.

Overall, the SUV had a stellar score on the IIHS system, enough to be given a Top Safety Pick+.

It’s the first safety award the nameplate has received since 2013.

The 2025 Enclave has also scored well with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA, which has given the vehicle four out of a possible five stars for safety.

Impressive stuff.
